Integrated Pest Management

Background
The City of Saratoga Springs, New York, is seeking bids for Integrated Pest Management Services to effectively control pests in various city-owned buildings. The goal is to reduce the volume and toxicity of pesticides used while ensuring human and environmental safety. This initiative is part of the Department of Public Works' efforts to maintain public facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary for pest management services across multiple city-owned buildings. Services include:
- Suppression of indoor populations of pests such as rats, mice, ants, cockroaches, flies, bees, bed bugs, spiders, and other arthropods.
- Special services for preventive pigeon solutions and active pigeon control methods.
- Conducting initial inspections by a certified commercial supervisory applicator to identify problem areas contributing to pest infestations.
- Monthly visual inspections of pest-prone areas and treatment as needed outside regular hours if required.
- Submission of a Pest Control Management Plan detailing proposed methods for control, service schedules by building, structural changes needed for pest control efforts, and required certifications for personnel performing on-site services.

Period of Performance
The contract term is one year from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the City of Saratoga Springs including City Hall, Canfield Casino, High Rock Park Bathroom, Weibel Avenue Ice Rink, Indoor Recreation Facility, DPW Dispatch Office, Lake Avenue Fire Station, West Avenue Fire Station, and Henning Road Fire Station.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the Non-Collusive Bidding Certification and Vendor Code of Conduct. They are required to provide a Risk and Safety Agreement along with proof of insurance. Additionally, bidders must ensure compliance with local laws regarding labor practices and workplace safety.
