Information Technology Managed Services and Operational Support

Background
The Capital Region Transportation Council (Transportation Council) is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) responsible for fulfilling federal requirements for cooperative transportation planning and programming in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties in New York State.

The purpose of this request for proposals (RFP) is to engage qualified firms or individuals to provide Information Technology Managed Services and Operational Support services to the Transportation Council.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide on-site and off-site IT and operational support to the Transportation Council, which has up to fourteen (14) full-time staff members.

The services required include:
- 24/7 monitoring
- Preventative maintenance
- Help desk support
- Cybersecurity measures
- Strategic IT consulting
- Infrastructure management
- Day-to-day operational support.

Additionally, the vendor must be available on-site for a minimum of ten (10) hours per week to assist the staff directly. Vendors are required to submit a monthly fixed fee price proposal that includes all anticipated costs for a twelve-month period with an option to renew annually for three additional consecutive years. Each twelve-month period must be detailed separately in the proposal.

Period of Performance
The contract term is twelve (12) months with an option to renew annually for three additional consecutive years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Capital Region Transportation Council located at 1 Park Place, Suite 101, Albany, NY 12205-2676.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must provide a cover letter, a detailed scope of work, a history of experience providing similar services, and a project management plan as part of their proposal submission.
