The New York State Police (NYSP) is soliciting bids for a three (3) year contract with two (2) one (1) year renewal options for Scaler/Ratemeters and Accessories.

Background
The New York State Police (NYSP) is soliciting bids for a three-year contract with two one-year renewal options for Scaler/Ratemeters and Accessories. This procurement supports the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, which ensures the safe operation of commercial vehicles on New York’s roadways through safety inspections and hazardous materials checks.

Work Details
The contract involves providing scaler/ratemeters and accessories that meet specific requirements, including:

1. Digital display with at least 4 digits (0.000).
2. Auto-ranging ratemeter display calibrated to read from 0.000 µSv/h to 9999 Sv/h.
3. Easy access push button for backlight activation.
4. Capability to read Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Radiation.
5. Ability to attach Check Source directly in a holder.
6. Support for two detector setups for quick swapping in the field.
7. Removable batteries when not in use.
8. Compatibility with an extender pole for use in various situations.
9. Portable battery-operated design for ease of use.
10. Three varying lengths of C to C cables preferred (3-4 feet, 4-6 feet, 9-11 feet).

- Beta-Gamma detector probes
- “Pancake” style Alpha-Beta-Gamma detector probes
- A mechanical Check Source holder
- A Check Source plastic disk with an activity of 1.0 µCi 137Cs
- A fiberglass telescoping extender pole (extending between 8 to 18 feet)
- A medium transport/storage case designed to fit all equipment except the extender pole.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for three years starting from September 1, 2025, with two optional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the New York State Police headquarters located at 1220 Washington Ave., Bldg. 22, Albany, New York.

Bidder Requirements
Bids will only be accepted from established manufacturers or their authorized dealers who provide a completed Manufacturer's Certificate with bid submissions and documentation showing their experience in selling the offered products.
