IFB 25-014 Cottage Floors

Background
Rockland Children’s PC, located at 2 1st Avenue, Orangeburg, NY 10962, is seeking a qualified contractor to remove and replace flooring in Units A, B, & D of Building 129. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's interior environment for its residents.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1) Removal and disposal of existing flooring materials including Carpet Tile, VCT, and Vinyl Base (a dumpster will be provided by the facility).

2) Removal and replacement of light furniture.

3) Preparation of the existing floor for installation as needed (priming/skim coat).

4) Furnishing and installation of new flooring #1: Forbo – Flotex in Converge or Triad pattern (6,075 sq ft) using permanent T 940 Adhesive for active resident areas.

5) Furnishing and installation of new flooring #2: Forbo – Marmoleum #5250 Linear Striation Color Eternity (3,567 sq ft with welded seams), also using permanent T 940 Adhesive.

6) Installation of vinyl reducers at bedroom doors.

7) All work should be performed during standard working hours/days.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence as soon as possible after bid acceptance.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Rockland Children’s PC, located at 2 1st Avenue, Orangeburg, NY 10962.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the following requirements:

- No Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside.
- A total MWBE participation goal of 30%.
- A Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business contracting goal of 6%.
- Proof of being in business performing the required services for at least three years.
- Compliance with New York State Workers’ Compensation and Disability Benefits Insurance requirements.
- Submission of various forms including MWBE Utilization Plan and Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire.
