Description

OMH announces the availability of funds for the procurement of pilot Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) teams serving youth with co-occurring Intellectual Disabilities and/or Developmental Disorders throughout New York State, in partnership with NYS DDPC and OPWDD.

The expansion of HBCI represents a commitment by OMH to increase access to crisis intervention and support services to children and youth in crisis, and their families. HBCI programs serve as a critical component in the children's continuum of care.

Six (6) total awards will be available statewide - 3 in Rural identified counties and 3 in Metro identified counties. Please refer to Section 1.1 of RFP for specifics.

Background
The Office of Mental Health (OMH) announces the availability of funds for the procurement of pilot Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) teams serving youth with co-occurring Intellectual Disabilities and/or Developmental Disorders throughout New York State.

This initiative is in partnership with the New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (NYS DDPC) and the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). The expansion of HBCI represents a commitment by OMH to increase access to crisis intervention and support services to children and youth in crisis, as well as their families. HBCI programs are a critical component in the children's continuum of care.

Work Details
The contract involves the establishment and operation of Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) teams that will provide mental health support services to youth with co-occurring Intellectual Disabilities and/or Developmental Disorders.

A total of six awards will be available statewide, with three designated for rural counties and three for metropolitan counties. Specific details regarding the counties can be found in Section 1.1 of the RFP.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is from October 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, with a full contract period extending from October 1, 2023, to June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed statewide across all New York State counties, specifically targeting both metro and rural county areas.
