Background
The City College Auxiliary Enterprises Corporation is seeking a Contractor to manage food services at The City College of New York. The goal is to provide the college community with fresh, nutritious, affordable, and tasty food and beverages through various dining options including dining rooms, cafeterias, and catering services. This initiative aims to promote health and well-being among students while ensuring access to healthy food for low-income students and supporting local economies.

Work Details
The Contractor will be responsible for the management and operation of food services at the college, which includes:
- Operating dining rooms and cafeterias.
- Providing catering services for college events.
- Ensuring a variety of food options that cater to diverse dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-sensitive, halal, kosher).
- Implementing pricing strategies that make healthy food affordable for students with restricted budgets.
- Engaging with the college community to address dietary preferences and sustainability issues.
- Offering innovative strategies for convenience in on-campus dining.
- Complying with New York City’s prevailing wage rates for food service employees.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of the contract is five years with two optional two-year renewals. The contract is expected to commence on August 1, 2026.

Place of Performance
Food services will be performed at The City College of New York located at 160 Convent Avenue, New York, NY 10031.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of five years’ experience in food service operations as their primary business. They are required to comply with Supplier Diversity participation goals set by CUNY. While there are no specific M/WBE or SDVOB participation goals stated in this RFP, bidders are encouraged to include such businesses in their proposals.
