Firehouse Roof Replacement

Background
The Village of Cobleskill is issuing a solicitation for a roofing replacement project at the Village Firehouse located at 610 East Main Street, Cobleskill, New York. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing roofing systems to ensure the integrity and safety of the firehouse structure.

Work Details
The project consists of two bid numbers:

- Bid Number #1 - Metal Roofing
- Bid Number #2 - Rubber Roofing

For Bid Number #1, the contractor will install a 24-gauge metal roof over existing shingles on one primary peaked roof and four small peaked roofs. This includes facia trim and snow rails on two sides of the larger roof. The contractor must also leave all existing gutters and remove all debris from the project site.

For Bid Number #2, the contractor will replace two existing rubber roofs by removing the old rubber roofing. They will install 2-inch polyisocyanurate insulation mechanically fastened to the roof deck, apply .060 mill EPDM roofing fully adhered to the insulation, install new aluminum edge, and flash all penetrations and terminations according to manufacturer specifications. All bids must include materials, labor, supplies for job completion, and a 10-year labor and material warranty.

Period of Performance
The contract term is set for 1 year from the date of award.

The work will be performed at 610 East Main Street, Cobleskill, NY.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with NYS Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Law (PRC#2018901125). They are required to provide workers' compensation and disability insurance for employees, general liability insurance satisfactory to the Village, and a performance bond for the work. Bidders must also submit a non-collusion certificate with their bids.
