Background
The Village of Lindenhurst is seeking proposals from qualified, licensed, and experienced firms to provide Environmental Review Services for projects funded under the NY-Forward Small Project Fund. This initiative is administered through the New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation Office of Community Renewal (OCR) and supports small-scale building improvements and revitalization efforts within the Village’s designated NY-Forward boundary area. Work Details
Environmental review services will be provided on a project-by-project basis, with the scope and level of review varying depending on specific improvements proposed and existing site conditions. The consultant must demonstrate flexibility in tailoring services.
Each assigned project requires completion of the OCR site-specific Environmental Compliance Checklist, identification of applicable regulatory triggers, preparation of required documentation, and coordination with relevant agencies. Deliverables include:
- A written summary of findings
- A signed determination letter by a qualified Environmental Professional in accordance with ASTM E1527 standards
- Incorporation of findings into overall environmental review documentation.
Specific tasks include conducting a site contamination review, which involves a visual inspection, evaluation of current and historical land uses, and identification of potential environmental hazards. The identified project locations are:
- 49 East Hoffman Avenue (enclose outdoor deck)
- 224 North Wellwood Avenue (façade repairs and roof repair)
- 152 North Wellwood Avenue (brick repair/repointing)
- 231 South Wellwood Avenue (façade upgrades).
All deliverables must be submitted electronically in PDF format unless otherwise directed.
