Requested Work (Scope of Contract):

The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking to engage multiple firms (consultants) through Engineering Services Term Agreements. Under these agreements, selected firms will enter into a Master Term Agreement with SUCF, from which various project assignments may be issued as needed throughout the term.

Authorized projects under these Engineering Term Agreements may include, but are not limited to:
  • Analysis, modification, replacement, or reconfiguration of building mechanical and electrical systems
  • Investigation and comparative analysis of design scenarios
  • Assessment of building conditions and space requirements
  • Construction phasing and impact analysis
  • Preparation of cost estimates
  • Other related services as directed
Projects may involve modifications, replacements, or reconfiguration of building systems, including:
  • Mechanical
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Ventilation
  • Fire protection
  • Communications systems
These services will be required in various SUNY academic, hospital, research, service, and facilities buildings, some of which may be historic.

During construction, selected firms will be responsible for:
  • Field administration
  • Inspection
  • Preparation of progress reports
  • Management of biweekly progress meetings
Other potential assignments include program studies and peer reviews, which may require investigation, assessment, and comparative analysis of design scenarios, underlying causes of exterior conditions, and building conditions.

Requesting Entity:

The State University Construction Fund (SUCF or the Fund) is issuing this solicitation.

Background:

The SUCF intends to establish Master Term Agreements with several qualified engineering firms. These agreements will enable the Fund to assign various engineering projects as needed, supporting the ongoing maintenance, renovation, and improvement of SUNY facilities statewide.

Contract Requirements:

Firms selected for these Engineering Services Term Agreements must be capable of providing a range of planning and engineering services, including but not limited to:
  • MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) system analysis and design
  • Peer review
  • Capacity requirements analysis
  • Construction phasing and impact analysis
  • Cost estimating
  • Field administration and inspection during construction
  • Management of progress meetings and reporting
Assignments may occur in a variety of building types, including academic, hospital, research, service, and facilities buildings, with some projects involving historic structures.
