Engineering Services for Fallkill Trunk Sewer Rehab project

Background
The City of Poughkeepsie is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the procurement of an engineering firm to assist with engineering and construction-related tasks associated with the Fallkill Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation project. This project is funded through the New York State Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and aims to improve the sanitary sewer collection system, which is critical for the city's wastewater management.

Work Details
The selected engineering firm will be responsible for:

1. Designing, constructing, and closing out the Fallkill Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation project.

2. Implementing sanitary sewer improvements including cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, heavy cleaning of sanitary sewers, and open cut repairs where necessary to reduce infiltration and inflow (I/I).

3. Conducting field investigations such as surveying, geotechnical studies, and environmental assessments.

4. Providing bidding assistance including distributing plans and specifications, answering contractor questions, reviewing bids, and making recommendations to the City.

5. Performing construction administration services including issuing Notices to Proceed (NTP), reviewing submittals and change orders, certifying contractor applications for payment, providing construction observation services, and preparing final compliance documentation.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective until project completion, with an estimated duration of approximately five years for administrative closeout.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York.
