Eleanor's Pier Wood Framing

Background
The Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC) is seeking proposals for a wood framing contractor to undertake the demolition of existing wood framing and connecting hardware, followed by the installation of new wood framing and decking.
This project is part of the rehabilitation efforts for Eleanor's Pier located in New York.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Demolishing all existing wood framing and connecting hardware;
- Installing new wood framing;
- Installing new decking.
The work will include compliance with various standards such as ASTM D245 and NDS specifications for wood construction.
The contractor must provide dimensional lumber of any species, graded visually or mechanically, capable of supporting required loads without exceeding allowable design values.
Fasteners and anchoring devices must be furnished and installed, including nails, screws, bolts, and anchors, with specific requirements for materials such as stainless steel for metal hardware.

Period of Performance
The contract term is to complete the work as specified in the solicitation documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Eleanor's Pier located at 426 Main Street, New York.

Bidder Requirements
There are no Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside requirements. However, there are participation goals set at 30% for MWBE (Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises) and 6% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business contracting.
