Background
The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to award a contract for the production of secure New York State Identity Documents. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for producing secure New York State Identity Documents which include: NYS Standard DL/ID/Permit, REAL ID, Enhanced DL/ID/Permit, Employee ID cards, and multiple Occupation/Professional cards. The production process must incorporate measures to prevent alteration or fraudulent replication of credentials.
Services include all necessary hardware and software for document production as well as design and development tailored to DMV specifications. The contractor will also handle installation and training for DMV personnel on the new systems.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution by the Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC) and will continue for a period of eight (8) years following DMV’s Final System Acceptance. DMV reserves the right to extend the contract for up to two additional years at its discretion.
Place of Performance
The primary location for performance will be at DMV’s Central Office in Albany, New York where the contractor's production facility will be housed.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 regarding non-discrimination. They are required to submit Form ST-220-CA with their proposal as part of compliance with Tax Law §5-A if their agreement exceeds $100,000.
