Discretionary Procurement Notice Academic Catalog Management Platform and Integration Services

Work Requested:
SUNY Empire State University is seeking to procure an academic catalog management platform subscription. The scope of work includes:

• Implementation of the platform
• Configuration to meet university needs
• Integration with existing enterprise academic systems, specifically:
• A curriculum management platform
• A class scheduling platform
• Training for relevant staff
• Ongoing support services

The solution must support academic catalog content management and governance, and must enable the reuse and synchronization of existing academic data to avoid redundant manual data entry. It should also support ongoing academic governance and operational requirements.

Requesting Entity:
This procurement is being requested by the State University of New York (SUNY), on behalf of SUNY Empire State University.

Background:
This notice is published in accordance with the Office of the State Comptroller's Guide to Financial Operations Publication of Procurement Opportunities requirements. SUNY intends to use its discretionary purchasing authority for this procurement. The university's current academic systems, including the curriculum management and class scheduling platforms, are already integrated with the Banner student information system.
