Background
The State University of New York at Stony Brook (SUNY) is seeking qualifications from consultants to provide design services for the permanent structural stability and exterior envelope of the Southampton Windmill located at Stony Brook University, New York.

- Programming and pre-design activities with the University to establish needs for permanent structural stability while maintaining the building's historic integrity.
- Focus on preserving original materials and minimizing alterations.
- Upgrades may include electrification, accessibility improvements, waterproofing, new roofing, roof drains, and stormwater management.
- The design phase will encompass schematic design through construction documents divided into two bid packages: one for in-house labor and another for public bid.
- Cost estimates will be prepared at each project milestone.
- Permitting through Campus Code Enforcement Official is required.
- Bid oversight includes reviewing qualifications and negotiating contracts while providing construction administration support.
