Background
The Town of Webster is seeking bids for the demolition of a condemned structure located at 600 Ridge Road, Webster, NY 14580. The building, a former furniture stripping facility, has been deemed structurally unsafe and is assumed to contain asbestos. The goal of this contract is to safely demolish the structure and dispose of all debris while ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor will perform controlled demolition of the structure, which includes:

1) Demolition with Asbestos in Place and Disposal of the structure;
2) Removal and disposal of existing foundations, foundation walls, and spread footers down to virgin soil;
3) Proper disposal of all debris from the demolition;
4) Protection of adjacent structures, trees, sidewalks, utilities, and other items that are to remain;
5) Obtaining all required permits and paying associated fees;
6) Disconnecting, capping, and sealing existing sanitary services in accordance with Town Sewer Department regulations;
7) Notifying utilities prior to demolition for service disconnection.

Additionally, Bid Alternate 1 includes backfilling and grading of the site after demolition.

Period of Performance
The expected contract start date is approximately June 11, 2024. The demolition work must be completed within 30 days from the Contractor's Notice to Proceed.

Bidder Requirements
There are no Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside requirements. However, there is a total MWBE participation goal of 30%. Bidders must provide proof of capability to perform the contract including references from similar projects. The contractor must also obtain written consent from the Town before subcontracting any work.
