DEC Land Mobile Radio System

Work Requested:
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is seeking proposals for the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of a statewide Land Mobile Radio System and Backhaul Network. This system will support DEC operations, including the Divisions of Law Enforcement, Forest Protection, and various DEC administrative groups.

Proposers are expected to:

• Demonstrate their competency and knowledge in the implementation of Land Mobile Radio Systems.
• Show clearly how their proposed system will meet or exceed DEC's operational needs.

Who is Requesting:
This solicitation is issued by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Division of Operations.

Background:
The DEC requires a robust, reliable statewide Land Mobile Radio System and Backhaul Network to support the communications needs of its divisions and administrative groups. No business enterprises have been awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years.

Contract Requirements:

• Offerors must comply with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Guidelines Regarding Permissible Contacts During a Procurement and the Prohibition of Inappropriate Lobbying Influence.
• Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) participation goal: 6.00%.
• Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation goal: 30.00%.
