Description

Work Requested:
The State University Construction Fund is seeking statements of qualifications from firms to provide Construction Manager (CM) Agency services for two major projects at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center:
  • Project 141223-01: Construction of a new, approximately 150,000 GSF hospital annex specializing in cardiology and oncology. The new state-of-the-art facility will feature:
    • A surgical suite with five operating rooms (ORs), one hybrid OR, and 18 pre- and post-op beds
    • A cardiology suite with catheterization labs and interventional radiology
    • An oncology suite equipped with infusion rooms, advanced imaging, and a linear accelerator
    • Core support and public spaces
    • A surface parking lot adjacent to the new facility
  • Project 141224-01: Renovation of the University Hospital of Brooklyn, including:
    • Replacement of the building's mechanical, plumbing, heating and cooling, and electrical distribution systems, including medical gas systems
    • Modernization and right-sizing of inpatient bed spaces in the eight-story wing
    • Renovation of critical care units
    • Renovation and modernization of the hospital's emergency department
    • Removal of hazardous materials
    • Upgrades to meet current code and ADA requirements
