Background
The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking to procure 272 common White or Red cedar posts, clear grade A or better. These posts will be utilized as sign frames within Robert Moses State Park. The goal of this contract is to enhance the park's infrastructure by providing durable and aesthetically pleasing sign frames.
Work Details
The contractor will provide a total of 272 common White or Red cedar posts with the following specifications:
- Cedar Type: Common White or Red Cedar
- Cedar Grade: Clear grade A or better
- Measurements:
- 72 units of 6” x 6” x 16’
- 200 units of 4” x 4” x 12’
Delivery must be made by September 1st, 2025, during the hours of 7 AM to 5 PM. All posts must be delivered at the same time, and the vendor is responsible for unloading the posts. Pricing must include delivery and unloading costs.
Period of Performance
The contract is for a one-time purchase with delivery required by September 1st, 2025.
Place of Performance
Delivery will take place at Captree State Park Maintenance Building, located at 3500 Ocean Parkway, Bay Shore, NY 11706 in Suffolk County.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors are encouraged to make Good Faith Efforts to include Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) where subcontracting opportunities exist. Documentation of these efforts must be available upon request. There are no specific set-aside certifications required for this procurement.
