City of North Tonawanda Water Meter and AMR System Installation Request for Proposal

Background
The City of North Tonawanda, New York, is seeking proposals for the installation of water meters and an Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system as part of a city-wide water meter replacement project.
The city serves approximately 11,107 residential and 638 commercial/industrial customers across a 10.8 square mile area.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the efficiency of water meter readings and billing processes through the installation of Kamstrup meters and a compatible AMR system.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide all necessary equipment and labor for the installation of Kamstrup Water Meters and AMR endpoints.
This includes project management, data integration services, and field service software that allows for electronic data uploads to the city's billing software (KVS).
Specific tasks include:
- Installation of approximately 11,106 residential water meters (3/4" size) and additional commercial meters as required.
- Providing project management and field service software that enables real-time updates on installation progress.
- Conducting service line audits and providing material data back to the utility.
- Ensuring compatibility with existing billing systems through import/export files.
- Employing licensed plumbers skilled in meter installations who will maintain a professional appearance and conduct work according to applicable codes.

Period of Performance
The contract term extends through the completion of construction activities related to the water meter installations.
