Chain-Link Mesh Fence at Bayswater Point State Park

Background
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking a contractor to design and install a chain-link fence at Bayswater Point State Park. The purpose of this project is to provide storage and security for the park's maintenance yard. The agency aims to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of the park's facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the design and installation of a chain-link fence that measures 110 feet in length and 40 feet in width, with a height of 10 feet. The fence will include a swing opening gate at the front. The following materials are required for the installation:
- Chain-Link Fence: 10' High Black Chain-link Mesh, 2x6 Commercial Grade
- 3 Corner Posts SS40 cemented 3' deep in the ground
- 2-1/2 Line Post SS40 cemented 3' deep in the ground
- 1-5/8 SS20 Top, Bottom, and Middle Rail
- All black pipes and hardware to assemble the fence frame
- 1 Cantilever Chain-link Rolling Gate (16' opening x 10' high)
- Tarp or mesh covering outside of fence for privacy.

Additionally, it is mandatory for the vendor to arrange a site visit to develop design and footings plans for review. GPS coordinates for the site will be provided.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a term of 30 days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Bayswater Point State Park located at 1479 Point Breeze Place, Far Rockaway, NY 11691.

Bidder Requirements
There are no specific set-aside certifications required for this contract. However, bidders are encouraged to include Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) where subcontracting opportunities exist. Bidders must also comply with insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability Insurance with specified coverage limits.
