OPWDD's Capital District DDSO is looking to obtain quotes to procure the conversion of the existing bathroom to an ADA compliant bathroom per the attached scope of work.

Please be advised, attendance at a site visit is mandatory prior to submitting a quote. If your company would like to be considered for this project, please review the attached documents and submit your quote using the attached RFQ form to Brooklyn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov no later than 2:30 p.m., 12/17/2024.

To be considered for this project, all quotes must be submitted on the RFQ Form provided and include the materials and labor cost break down.

Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 30%

Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 7%

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6%

Background
The Capital District DDSO, part of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, is seeking bids for the renovation of an existing bathroom located at 8 Twilight Drive, Clifton Park, NY.

The goal of this project is to convert the current bathroom into one that is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This initiative aligns with the agency's mission to provide accessible facilities for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Full demolition of existing bathroom walls and flooring.
2. Reconfiguration of the bathroom layout to meet ADA accessibility requirements.
3. Restoration and construction of new interior walls, including new wall and floor finishes.
4. Installation of a new roll-in shower, shower controls, folding seat, and trough drains.
5. Installation of new grab bars with in-wall blocking at the toilet area.
6. Provision of a new ADA-compliant vanity, lighting fixtures, and mirror.
7. Installation of new drains and an exhaust fan/light combination unit.
8. Compliance with all applicable building codes and safety regulations during construction.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeline that will be determined post-award.
