Enclosed is a request for quotation (RFQ) to perform the attached scope of work.
Mandatory site visit will be held 09/26/24 @ 10:30am at the project location listed .
Please confirm your attendance prior to the site visit by contacting the Project Manager listed. Attendance will be recorded. Please be sure to sign the sign in sheet (provided by the Maintenance staff conducting the site visit). The sign in sheet is a separate entity from the resident visitor's log. When signing in, be sure to check the project name listed on the sign in sheet to ensure you are recording your attendance correctly. Failure to do so will cause you to be ineligible to submit a quote. There are no exceptions. Please write clearly for corresponding purposes and make sure you include an email address and phone number where you can be reached. Late arrivers at the site will not be allowed to sign in, participate, nor submit a quote for this project.
Method of Award:
This is an RFQ (request for quotes). This is not an IFB (bid). The Broome DDSO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Upon request, vendor must demonstrate 2 years of relevant experience on prior projects of similar magnitude and its subject to vendor responsibility determination. Broome DDSO reserves the right to reject all quotes. In deciding whether to submit a quote, please be aware the awarded vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded vendor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. The Broome DDSO will make no concessions to the vendor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Broome DDSO's interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding. Please note, all staff working at the project site will be required to sign an attendance sheet for record purposes. This includes the residence visitor log and/or an attendance sheet provided by the Maintenance Department. In the event of a tie, contract will be awarded to the Contractor whose bid was received earliest.
Prevailing Wages: Schedule PRC #: 2024011282
NYS Labor law requires that all contracted employees performing maintenance, repairs or capital improvements in state owned buildings receive the prevailing wage and supplements rate for the occupation in which they are working. Certified payroll record/s MUST be submitted at the time of invoicing. . Without submittal of certified payroll record/s, payment will not be made. Background
The Broome Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSO) is seeking a contractor to perform a complete renovation of an existing bathroom located at 214-216 West Lincoln St, Ithaca, NY. This project is classified as a New York State Public Works project, which mandates adherence to prevailing wage laws. The goal is to modernize the facility while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
Work Details
The scope of work includes the demolition and remodeling of the bathroom according to attached stamped drawings and specifications. Key tasks include:
1. Complete gutting of the existing bathroom.
2. Installation of new flooring, specifically American Olean Unglazed Porcelain Mosaics, size 1 x 1, with perimeter coved base.
3. Installation of a new wide flange floor drain in the shower area.
4. Replacement of all existing fixtures including a wall-mounted sink (Nameeks Teorema), toilet (American Standard Cadet), and grab bars.
5. New tile flooring throughout, with specific color and grout requirements outlined in the specifications.
6. All plumbing work must comply with NYSPC standards, including installation of PEX water supply lines and proper drainage connections.
7. Electrical work includes installation of GFCI outlets and light fixtures per NYS Residential code.
8. The contractor must ensure that all work is completed within 60 days of receiving the purchase order and provide a one-year warranty on materials and labor.
