Bid for Ultraviolet Lamp Replacement for Water Pollution Control Plant

Background
The Town of Yorktown, located in Westchester County, New York, is seeking bids for the replacement of ultraviolet lamps at the Yorktown Heights Water Pollution Control Plant.
This project aims to enhance the facility's disinfection system, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and improving operational efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following products and services:
1. **Ultraviolet Lamps**: 128 units of Trojan part number 794447-OYW or approved equal.
2. **Quartz Sleeves**: 64 units of Trojan part number 316136-004 or approved equal.
3. **Technical Specifications**:
- Lamps must emit an average of 98% of the 100 hours output for 12,000 hours of operation.
- On/Off cycles limited to four (4) per day.
- UV output wavelengths between 230 and 275 nm.
- UV irradiance at a distance of 2.89 meters in air must be at least 107 +/-3 microwatts/cm2 peak at 100hr when operating at 240W electrical power.
- Additional maintenance components compatible with a Trojan U3000 plus system including various Trojan O&M parts such as sleeve cup nuts, O-rings, lamp drivers, and cleaning agents are also required.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on or about March 22, 2025, for a duration of one (1) year, with an option to extend for one additional year upon mutual consent.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Yorktown Heights Water Pollution Control Facility located at 2200 Greenwood Street, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
