Background
The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking to procure beach mobility mats for Jones Beach State Park. The goal of this contract is to enhance accessibility at the beach by providing mobility mats that comply with ABA/ADA standards. OPRHP intends to issue a Purchase Order up to their discretionary spending limit of $84,999.99.
Work Details
The contractor will provide beach mobility mats with the following specifications:
- Roll out design
- Made from 100% polyester material
- Solid royal blue color (stripes are not acceptable)
- Mat dimensions: 50 feet in length and 5 feet in width
- Maximum thickness of 0.134 inches (3.41mm)
- Each mat must include disposable anchoring grommets
- Each mat must include galvanized steel stakes in lengths of 10”, 12”, and 20” for easy anchoring
- Mats must be equipped with anodized aluminum connectors for seamless transitions between sections.
- Mobility mats must be ABA/ADA compliant. The award will be made to the vendor offering the highest quantity of mats at the lowest price per mat, up to a total cost of $84,999.99.
Period of Performance
This is a one-time purchase with delivery expected after receipt of order. Specific delivery days are to be determined upon order confirmation.
