Background
Baruch College is seeking to replace its security infrastructure to ensure the safety of over 28,000 students and employees spread across 7 buildings in Manhattan. The college is looking for a comprehensive solution that includes a touchless physical access control system with entry turnstile and ID system, full camera coverage for all buildings, and the replacement of the existing two-way radio communication system used by public safety personnel.
Work Details
The contract requires an integrated touchless physical access control system with specific requirements such as touchless entry turnstiles capable of handling high volumes of users simultaneously, advanced ID system incorporating biometric or card-based authentication, scalability to accommodate over 28,000 users across seven buildings, and full camera coverage for all buildings including entrances, exits, common areas, and sensitive zones.
The contract also includes the replacement of the current conventional industrial grade Mototrbo UHF two-way radio communication system used by public safety personnel and integration between the access control system, ID system, and video surveillance. Additionally, the contract requires compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, installation services with minimal disruption to daily operations, comprehensive maintenance and support services, training programs for security personnel, administrators, and radio system users on system operation and troubleshooting.
Period of Performance
