Asbestos Abatement at Jones Beach Park Police Barracks. Work will consist of:

  • 2nd Floor - Remove a Wall (10 ft in height x 6 ft in width x 2 ft in depth) to access the pipe that needs to be abated from asbestos. Pipe that needs to be abated is 15 feet in length.
  • It is the responsibility of the abatement contractor to hire the 3rd party air monitoring company for all areas of work.

Upon contractor being awarded for project, you will have 72 hours to notify DOL for work to be done, Please send all paperwork for us to approve. 3rd party air monitoring company will be the responsibility/& hired by the abatement contractor.

Work will need to be finished within 10 days after starting on site.

Vendor questions will be accepted by email up to 3:00pm on June 27, 2025.

All quotes must be submitted on the attached RFQ form -no other quotes will be accepted. This RFQ is due back by 3:00 pm on July 11, 2025. Any submissions received after this date and time will not be considered. Please make sure all required backup is submitted with the RFQ. The RFQ form must be filled out electronically and emailed along with all required backup to Scott.Sepela@parks.ny.gov and LIEngineering@parks.ny.gov. Handwritten forms will not be accepted.

Background
