The State University of New York (SUNY) seeks to award a single contract for the role of Application Integration Specialist - Student Systems. This position focuses on supporting the technical and architectural needs of student systems, with a primary emphasis on the Unified Student Information Management (SIM) System while also addressing other student systems across the SUNY network. The State University of New York intends to make this award under its discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Finance Law 163(6) and NYS Education Law 355(5)(a). This procurement opportunity is limited to New York State certified MWBEs and SDVOBs, pursuant to NYS Executive Law. Project specifications are attached to this advertisement. There is no RFP or IFB. A sealed bid opening will not be held. Inquiries are to be made by email only and only to the email address indicated in the project specifications. Questions are due February 14, 2025, by 5:00 pm eastern time. SUNY will make no reimbursement for travel or travel-related expenses. The University reserves the
right to make no award.

Background
The State University of New York (SUNY) seeks to award a single contract for the role of Application Integration Specialist - Student Systems. This position focuses on supporting the technical and architectural needs of student systems, with a primary emphasis on the Unified Student Information Management (SIM) System. It also addresses other student systems across the SUNY network. The procurement opportunity is limited to New York State certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs).

Work Details
The Application Integration Specialist will design and implement complex data interfaces to enhance business operations. This includes providing strategic guidance on data matters and ensuring data architecture aligns with project goals. Responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with clients to understand business needs;
- Designing comprehensive information systems architecture;
- Developing secure, efficient, and scalable data interfaces;
- Creating strategic plans for information systems management;
- Ensuring integration architecture meets business requirements;
- Providing expertise in system security, performance, and scalability;
- Working closely with cross-functional teams;
- Staying updated with emerging technologies.

Required experience includes 10 years managing education, government, or corporate projects focused on application development, proven experience in developing comprehensive data strategies, and expertise in maintaining data architecture.

Period of Performance
The contract term is two years with an option for one (1) one-year extension.

Place of Performance
Primary work location is at the State University of New York System Administration, H. Carl McCall SUNY Building, 353 Broadway, Albany, NY 12246. Remote work within the United States may be allowed at SUNY’s discretion.
