Airport Architectural and Engineering Consulting Firms

Background
The County of Orange, New York, is seeking to engage a qualified airport architectural and/or engineering (A/E) consultant for services related to airport development projects as outlined in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ).
The goal is to maximize the safe and efficient use and development of the Orange County Airport in accordance with the 2025 Airport Master Plan Update.
The projects are expected to be funded by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants as part of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP).

Work Details
The anticipated projects include:
1. Runway and Taxiway Rehabilitation for Runway 8/26 and Taxiway B - estimated cost $9,500,000-$11,500,000;
2. Taxiway Rehabilitation for Taxiway D - estimated cost $3,500,000-$4,500,000;
3. Taxiway Rehabilitation for Taxiway E, F & G - estimated cost $4,500,000-$5,500,000;
4. Hangar E and F Roof Replacement - estimated cost $600,000-$850,000;
5. Runway 4 1,000’ Extension - estimated cost $8,000,000-$10,000,000;
6. Runway 4 Approach Lighting System Project - estimated cost $4,500,000-$5,000,000;
7. Land Acquisitions for Future RPZ for Runway 4-22 Extension - estimated cost $500,000-$1,000,000;
8. Airport Obstruction Removal and Mitigation Project - estimated cost $2,000,000-$2,500,000;
9. Acquire SRE (Snow Removal Equipment) - estimated cost $600,000-$900,000.

Period of Performance
The contract term is three years with two optional one-year extensions available at the County's discretion.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Orange County Airport located at 500 Dunn Road Montgomery, New York.

Bidder Requirements
No Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside is indicated. Firms must submit a Statement of Qualifications including firm profile and experience in aviation-related projects within the last five years.
They must also provide references and details on personnel designated to provide services.
