Background:
NFTA and the United States Air Force (USAF) jointly own, operate, and maintain the Niagara Falls International Airport (IAG). The NFTA, as the FAA sponsor, operates the civil portion of the airport, while the US Air Reserve and the New York Air National Guard operate the military portion. The airport is located within the Towns of Niagara and Wheatfield in Niagara County, New York.
The current ATCT, located at 9990 Porter Rd, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, is part of the FAA Contract Tower Program (Tier Level 4 FCT) and is operated by Midwest Air Traffic Control Services. The existing tower is a non-standard structure that was commissioned in 1962.
