A37883: Design-Build Services for Station State of Good Repair Work Package 3.

Scope of Work:
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a qualified Design-Builder to provide comprehensive design-build services for Station State of Good Repair Work at ten (10) New York City Transit (NYCT) stations along the BMT-West End Line in Brooklyn. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

• Station component repair work
• Track replacement
• Signal work

The specific stations and the types of work required at each are as follows:

• 9th Avenue (MRN 59): Component, Signal, & Track
• 50th Street (MRN 61): Component
• 55th Street (MRN 62): Component, Signal, & Track
• 62nd Street (MRN 63): Component, Signal, & Track
• 71st Street (MRN 64): Component, Signal, & Track
• 79th Street (MRN 65): Component, Signal, & Track
• 20th Avenue (MRN 67): Component
• Bay Parkway (MRN 68): Component, Signal, & Track
• 25th Avenue (MRN 69): Component, Signal, & Track
• Bay 50th Street (MRN 70): Component, Signal, & Track

Requesting Entity:
This solicitation is being issued by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), acting through the MTA Construction and Development Company (MTA C&D).

Background:
The MTA is initiating a two-step Request for Proposals (RFP) process to identify and engage a qualified Design-Builder for the State of Good Repair work at the specified NYCT stations. The process begins with a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), and only those respondents selected during this first step will be eligible to participate in the subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) phase.

Contract Requirements:
The selected Design-Builder will be responsible for all aspects of the design and construction work required to restore and upgrade the identified stations, including but not limited to component repairs, track replacement, and signal system improvements as specified for each station.

Instructions on Submission:
Interested parties must first respond to the RFQ. Only those respondents that are selected during the RFQ process will be invited to participate in the second step, the RFP process.
