85026B0053 - PV028-ISS Issue Project Room Interior Fit Out: Contract #4 Electrical

Background
The City of New York's Department of Design and Construction (DDC) is issuing this contract for the interior fit-out of the Issue Project Room located at 22 Boerum Place, Brooklyn, NY 11201. The goal of this contract is to enhance the performance space by ensuring sound separation from adjacent facilities, restoring the historic vaulted ceiling, constructing new restrooms and support spaces, and installing essential mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire alarm, and sprinkler systems. Compliance with ADA requirements is also a key aspect of this project.

Work Details
The scope of work under this contract includes:
- Sound separation of the performance space from adjacent facilities.
- Replacement of the historic vaulted ceiling.
- Construction of new restrooms and back-of-house support spaces.
- Installation of new mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Installation of fire alarm systems.
- Installation of standpipe/sprinkler systems.
- Construction of a gently sloped walkway with a railing leading to the building entrance to meet ADA requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period that extends until December 16, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Special Experience Requirements as specified in the solicitation. Additionally, bidders are required to enroll in PASSPort for vendor disclosure processes and must provide documentation regarding their qualifications and responsibilities. The contract is subject to Locally Based Enterprise (LBE) requirements where at least ten percent of the total dollar amount must be awarded to locally based enterprises if any portion is subcontracted.
