The selected Engineer will be required to provide services throughout the duration of the project (i.e., pre-construction, construction and post-construction services). The selected Engineer will be required to provide all services necessary and required for the inspection, management, coordination, and administration of the Project, from commencement through substantial completion, final acceptance, and project close-out. The project for which services are required is for the Reconstruction of Beard Street in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, including raising the streets, reconstruction of roadway, curbs and sidewalk, and installing a new bulkhead and floodwall along the waterfront. The reconstruction/raising for Beard Street will cover two blocks (Van Brunt St. to Dwight St).

Work Details
The scope of work for this project involves resident engineering inspection services for the Reconstruction of Beard Street in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, including raising the streets, reconstruction of roadway, curbs, and sidewalk, and installing a new bulkhead and floodwall along the waterfront. The reconstruction/raising for Beard Street will cover two blocks (Van Brunt St. to Dwight St). The selected Engineer shall provide all services necessary and required for the inspection, supervision, management, coordination, and administration of the Project so that the required construction work is properly executed, completed in a timely fashion, and conforms to the requirements of the construction documents and to good construction practice.
Period of Performance
The term of the contract shall commence on the date set forth in the written Notice to Proceed (NTP) letter and shall continue until completion of all required services. The anticipated time frame for completion of all required services is 1,215 consecutive calendar days (CCDs) as set forth in Exhibit A of the attached Contract.
Place of Performance
The geographic location(s) where the contract will be performed or where the product(s) will be delivered is at Beard Street in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn.
