Background
The Prospect Park Parkside and Ocean Avenue Sidewalks Reconstruction project is being procured by the City of New York Department of Parks & Recreation. The project aims to reconstruct sidewalks in the Prospect Park area. The procurement is subject to participation goals for MBEs and/or WBEs as required by Local Law 1 of 2013 and apprenticeship requirements. The bid submission must be submitted in PASSPort.

Work Details
The project involves the reconstruction of sidewalks at the intersection of Parkside and Ocean Avenue at the southeast corner of Prospect Park. The bid documents are available online for free through NYC PASSPort System.
The M/WBE Utilization Plan & PASSPort modified in July 2022 outlines the M/WBE participation goals and provides instructions on how to review an RFx’s M/WBE participation goals in PASSPort. It also includes details on how to enter information in PASSPort to meet these goals. Additionally, it provides instructions for submitting a request for waiver of M/WBE participation requirement.

Period of Performance
Bid Opening will be held on May 17, 2024, at 11:30 am via Zoom Conference Call.
The bid submission due date is April 4, 2024, and the time is 10:30 AM by PASSPort. The Agency will review the waiver, and the result of the Agency’s waiver determination will be reflected in PASSPort.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the intersection of Parkside and Ocean Avenue at the southeast corner of Prospect Park in New York City.
