47688CHPE - Provide Transitional Residence, South Campus

Background
The Office of General Services (OGS) is issuing this solicitation for the construction of a Transitional Residence at the South Campus of Creedmoor Psychiatric Center located in Queens Village, NY.
The goal of this contract is to provide necessary construction, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work to support the mission of the Office of Mental Health.

Work Details
The project comprises separate contracts for the following work:
1. Construction Work (C) estimated between $7,000,000 and $8,000,000;
2. HVAC Work (H) estimated between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000;
3. Plumbing Work (P) estimated between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000;
4. Electrical Work (E) estimated between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security:
- $189,300 for Construction Work (C),
- $80,100 for HVAC Work (H),
- $51,500 for Plumbing Work (P),
- $80,700 for Electrical Work (E).

All successful bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond for 100% of the contract amount.

Period of Performance
The substantial completion date for this project is 780 days after the Agreement is approved by the Comptroller.

Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, South Campus,
80-45 Winchester Blvd., Queens Village (Queens County), NY.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with New York State Executive Law Article 15-A promoting MWBE participation with an overall goal of 30%, including specific goals of 15% for MBE participation and 15% for WBE participation.
Additionally, there are goals set for SDVOB participation:
- 6% for C trade contractors,
- 6% for E trade contractors,
- 3% for H trade contractors,
- 3% for P trade contractors.
