3 Harper Street Asphalt Plant: Rebuild

Scope of Work Requested:

The project involves the comprehensive reconstruction of the Harper Street Asphalt Plant located at Northern Blvd 131-21, Flushing, NY 11354. The work to be completed includes:

• Demolition of existing structures and site elements
• Concrete work
• Unit masonry
• Structural steel installation
• Roofing
• Doors and windows installation
• Carpentry
• Resilient flooring
• Painting
• Metal and plastic-laminate casework
• Earthwork
• Asphalt paving
• Site utility work
• Construction of multiple support buildings
• Installation of new asphalt plant equipment (to be provided by the City of New York)

The goal is to deliver a fully operational asphalt plant upon completion.

Requesting Entity:

This subcontracting opportunity is issued by Iannelli Construction Company, Inc., the apparent low bidder for this project.

Background:

The Harper Street Asphalt Plant is undergoing a major reconstruction to upgrade its facilities and operational capabilities. The City of New York is supplying the new asphalt plant equipment, while all other construction and site work will be performed under this contract.

Contract Requirements:

• All labor for this project is subject to the Union Project Labor Agreement (PLA).
• Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) contracting goals are set at 20.00% for this project.
• Only NYC DDC certified contractors are eligible to bid.
• This is a subcontract opportunity.
