Description

Background
The Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) of Nassau County is issuing this contract for Chain Link Fencing to serve approximately thirteen facilities within its jurisdiction and other participating Nassau County School Districts.
The goal of this contract is to provide necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for the repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of new chain link fencing as needed.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for inspecting and investigating proposed new and existing chain link fence installations and components.
This includes reviewing existing conditions and identifying necessary modifications, maintenance, or repairs.
The contractor must provide recommendations for new installations or modifications and prepare detailed scopes of work with itemized cost estimates upon request from Nassau BOCES or participating districts.
The work includes but is not limited to:
1. Inspecting existing installations.
2. Providing recommendations for modifications.
3. Preparing detailed scopes of work.
4. Performing all labor necessary for complete installation as specified in the contract documents.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and continue as needed based on the requirements of Nassau BOCES and participating districts.

- Long Island High School for the Arts

- Nassau BOCES George Farber Administrative Center
- Old Brookville/Outdoor Education Dept.
- Rosemary Kennedy Center
- Seaman Neck Middle School
- Willet Avenue School.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of five years of continuous experience in the chain link fencing business.
All workmen must be skilled and familiar with industry standards.
Contractors must provide identification badges for their employees while on service calls.
Additionally, contractors are required to submit a certificate of insurance prior to commencing work.
