Background
The New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is responsible for providing care, treatment, rehabilitation, education, training, and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
The Hudson Valley Developmental Disabilities State Operations Office serves the counties of Orange, Rockland, Sullivan, and Westchester. OPWDD is seeking qualified contractors to provide Community Snow/Slush Removal and Ice Control Services across multiple sites in Rockland County for the period of 2026-2030.
Work Details
Contractors will provide on-call and 24/7 emergency snow and slush removal and ice control services.
Services will commence automatically at an accumulation of 3 inches of snow at contracted sites. The House Manager or designee may request additional services as necessary for safety. Services must be available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Contractors are required to use appropriately sized plows and commercial-grade salt/sand/calcium chloride spreading equipment to clear driveways and parking areas. Bidders must demonstrate at least two years of relevant experience through three work references.
Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to last four years, from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2030.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at multiple OPWDD sites located in Rockland County, New York.
Bidder Requirements
