The work requested under this solicitation involves providing comprehensive Rigging and Rope Access Services to support Consultant and State Inspection Teams during the biennial inspection of the Manhattan Bridge, which spans the East River and connects Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York City. The selected Subcontractor will be responsible for:
Supplying all necessary labor, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment required for rigging platforms and rope access.
Facilitating safe and effective access for inspection teams from Stantec Consulting Services Inc. and the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), or their authorized designees, to conduct thorough inspections of the Manhattan Bridge.
This solicitation is being issued by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), in collaboration with Stantec Consulting Services Inc., for Contract No. D042091, PIN XB26.02, covering NYSDOT's Region 11.
The contract is part of the ongoing efforts to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the Manhattan Bridge through regular, biennial inspections. The services provided by the Subcontractor will directly support these critical inspection activities.
To be eligible, the Subcontractor must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of documented experience performing rigging or rope access services on similar bridge structures, as the safety of human lives is paramount.
