Description

The Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority (hereinafter referred to as Authority ) will accept Bids for the 2025 Cleaning Services Agreement for their office facility located in Dutchess County at 1 LaGrange Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY, in accordance with the specifications and requirements contained in the Authority bid documents.

Bidders are advised that the services requested are subject to New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Requirements and as such bidders are required to submit certified payroll with each invoice.

OPTIONAL FACILITY SITE VISIT

All bidders desiring to respond to this solicitation are HIGHLY encouraged to attend an Optional Site Visit scheduled for Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at 1 LaGrange Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.

It is the vendor's responsibility to make sure they understand the entire Scope of Services and will comply with the Scope each week in its entirety.

BID TIME

Bids must be received by 1:00PM on Friday, November 15, 2024, by mail or hand delivery where they will be opened and read aloud. All Bids shall be sealed in an envelope distinctly marked Bid for the 2025 Cleaning Services and sent directly to the Authority office as follows:

Background
The Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority (Authority) is seeking bids for the 2025 Cleaning Services Agreement for their office facility located at 1 LaGrange Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the Authority's administrative building in accordance with specified requirements.
The services requested are subject to New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Requirements, necessitating certified payroll submissions with each invoice.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive cleaning services which include:
- Weekly cleaning performed three nights per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) after business hours (5:30 PM).
- Cleaning tasks include sweeping and mopping ceramic/vinyl flooring, vacuuming rugs, removing smudges from walls and doors, cleaning office furniture with treated cloths, emptying waste baskets daily, and maintaining cleanliness in restrooms and kitchen areas.
- Specific areas to be cleaned include approximately 6,720 square feet covering entrances, lobby, conference rooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, lunchroom, and utility room.
- The Authority will supply certain materials such as toilet tissue and cleaning solutions; however, the vendor must provide all necessary janitorial equipment at their own expense.
- Additional services may be requested on an hourly basis beyond the normal scope of work.

Period of Performance
The contract term is for one year starting January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025.

The services will be performed at the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority's office facility located at 1 LaGrange Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
