Tonopah Landfill Truck Scale Pad and Foundation

Background
The Nye County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the County of Nye, State of Nevada, is seeking responses for the construction of a pad and concrete foundation for a certified truck scale located at the Tonopah Landfill. Work Details
The work under this contract includes:

1. **Geotechnical Report**: Conduct a geotechnical investigation to determine soil conditions, provide recommendations for site preparation, compaction requirements, and foundation design considerations. Perform soil testing as necessary.

2. **Mobilization and Site Preparation**: Designate areas for material storage and equipment staging; deliver necessary equipment and materials; ensure proper handling and safety measures; protect existing utilities.

3. **Pad Construction**: Prepare the site according to geotechnical recommendations; perform grading, compaction, and stabilization to meet required soil compaction and drainage considerations.

4. **Concrete Foundation**: Construct forms, reinforce with rebar, set conduits for future connections, pour and finish concrete per specifications; conduct load testing and inspections.

5. **Electrical Conduit Work**: Identify conduit pathways; install conduit, junction boxes, and stubs as directed; ensure proper backfilling after installation.

6. **Testing and Quality Assurance**: Perform necessary testing to verify materials and equipment quality; adhere to all applicable codes and standards.

7. **Cleanup and Restoration**: Conduct daily cleanup operations during the project; remove all debris upon completion.

Period of Performance
The contract term is thirty (30) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed Start Date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Tonopah Landfill located in Nye County, Nevada.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total response price with their submission. A performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount must be provided within eight (8) business days after receiving Notice of Award. Contractors must comply with NRS Chapter 338 regarding public works construction and utilize apprentices as required by law.
