NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR RESPONSE NO. 2025-05 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nye County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the County of Nye, State of Nevada, invites responses and will receive proposals (bids), for the Tonopah Airport Fuel System located in Tonopah, Nye County, Nevada. This project involves the design, engineering, permitting, fabrication, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a new aviation fuel system for 100LL Avgas and Jet A fuel. The system will include two 12,000-gallon cylindrical UL 2085 Fireguard tanks and retail sale equipment with a QT POD M4000 Pro self-service terminal. The tanks will be specifically designed for storing flammable and combustible liquids at atmospheric pressure, with Avgas 100LL (UN 1203) and Jet A (UN 1863) as the designated fuels. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the design, engineering, permitting, fabrication, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a new aviation fuel system. Key components include:
- Two 12,000-gallon cylindrical UL 2085 Fireguard tanks designed for storing flammable liquids at atmospheric pressure.
- Retail sale equipment including a QT POD M4000 Pro self-service terminal.
- Installation of a 20 GPM dispenser and filter skid.
- Configuration to offload transports at 200 GPM using a PTO-driven pump and to fuel aircraft overwing at 20 GPM.
- Additional features such as epoxy-lined interiors for tanks, a sump fuel recovery system, side-mounted ladders with deck platforms, electric rewind hose reels with various configurations for fueling hoses, static grounding reels, venting compliant with NFPA standards, fire-rated shutoff valves per NFPA 407 standards, explosion-proof control panels and lights, and ground-reading tank level gauges with alarms.
Period of Performance
The contract term is set for One Hundred Twenty (120) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed start date.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Tonopah Airport located in Tonopah, Nye County, Nevada.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have an active SAM.gov registration to be eligible for this federally funded project. Contractors are required to comply with all applicable requirements set forth in CDBG Construction Documents. A bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total response price must accompany the proposal. A performance bond and materials/payment bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount must also be provided within eight (8) business days after receiving Notice of Award.
