RFI- Case Management System for Statewide Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS)

Background
The Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) in Nevada is modernizing its statewide child welfare case management information system, known as UNITY.
This legacy system, implemented in 2003, is costly to maintain and lacks user-friendliness, particularly for field use.
The modernization aims to comply with federal requirements for a Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) and improve overall efficiency, security, and interoperability.
The RFI seeks creative solutions from vendors to address these needs and gather insights for potential future procurements.

Work Details
DCFS is requesting information on cloud-based, market-ready case management systems that align with CCWIS principles.
Vendors are encouraged to provide details on their solutions including:
1. Description of the case management solution and its modules.
2. Implementation experiences with other child welfare agencies.
3. Hardware and software requirements.
4. Licensing models required for the solution.
5. Key risks encountered in previous implementations and mitigation strategies.
6. Data migration approaches from existing systems to new CCWIS solutions.
7. Business architecture and system architecture depictions of proposed modules/components.
8. Maintenance and operational strategies post-deployment.
9. Customization approaches to meet CCWIS needs.

Period of Performance
This RFI is not tied to a specific contract award or timeline; it serves as a preliminary step in gathering information that may lead to future Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
