Professional Engineering Services for the Advanced Purified Water Facility (APWF)

Work Requested:
The City is seeking a professional engineering firm to act as its primary technical representative throughout the Advanced Purified Water Facility (APWF) project. The selected firm will:

• Represent the City in all technical interactions with the Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) and the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contractor.
• Ensure that Reno's facility requirements and interests are fully integrated into all construction decisions, change orders, and field modifications, with particular emphasis on:
• Reno-Stead Water Reclamation Facility (RSWRF) unit processes
• The Transfer Pump Station
• Coagulation/flocculation/clarification processes
• The transmission main to the APWF

Requesting Entity:
This solicitation is issued by the City, which will be the primary beneficiary of the engineering services provided.

Background:
The project encompasses significant improvements at the Reno-Stead Water Reclamation Facility (RSWRF), the construction of a new Advanced Purified Water Facility (APWF), an Export Pump Station, conveyance pipeline, finished water storage tanks, and the installation of injection, monitoring, and extraction wells. Additionally, the project includes a potable water pipeline designed for a future connection to the TMWA water system.

Contract Requirements:
The selected firm must ensure that all of the City's requirements and interests are incorporated into the project, especially regarding the RSWRF unit processes, Transfer Pump Station, coagulation/flocculation/clarification processes, and the transmission main to the APWF. The firm will be responsible for technical representation in all relevant construction and project management activities.
