Description

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (Authority) seeks a qualified contractor to restore and repaint all exterior painted surfaces of the Boingo Station, a key hub within the Las Vegas Monorail system. Strategically located at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), the Boingo Station serves as a critical access point for convention attendees and visitors navigating the Las Vegas Strip.
Background
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (Authority) is seeking a qualified contractor to restore and repaint all exterior painted surfaces of the Boingo Station, a vital hub within the Las Vegas Monorail system located at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). This project aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal and maintenance of a key access point for convention attendees and visitors on the Las Vegas Strip.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to restore and paint all exterior painted surfaces of the Boingo Station, including platform undersides, fascia, structural supports, and exposed railings. The total area for this work is approximately 105,500 square feet, which must be field verified by the bidder. Specific tasks include:

1) Pressure washing and preparing surfaces;
2) Removing old rubber joint sealant and replacing it;
3) Painting various sections including the west face of the terminal, upper east terminal, escalator canopy (from 3rd level to 2nd level), and mezzanine fence;
4) Conducting rust abatement on metal surfaces;
5) Using eco-friendly cleaning agents;
6) Applying high-quality primer and paint with a final color approved by the Authority's Project Manager;
7) Coordinating work schedules with Monorail operations to minimize disruption;
8) Implementing safety protocols throughout all phases of work.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and will be defined in accordance with the project schedule established during pre-bid meetings.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the Boingo Station located within the Las Vegas Monorail system at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have relevant experience in similar projects. They are required to submit detailed measurements for each task based on actual site conditions during a mandatory pre-bid job walk. Compliance with local labor laws, including prevailing wage requirements as per NRS Chapter 338, is mandatory. Bidders must also adhere to safety regulations and obtain necessary permits.
