The Nye County Board of Commissioners, representing the County of Nye in Nevada, is seeking proposals for Jail Food Services at the Nye County Detention Center located at 1521 E. Siri Lane, Pahrump, NV 89060. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive food services to the detention center, ensuring that inmates receive adequate nutrition and that the facility operates efficiently.
Work Details
The contractor will provide food services including:
1. Inmate Food Service: Feeding approximately 175 inmates seven days a week with a minimum of two hot meals and one cold meal per day, totaling around 525 meals daily.
2. Staff Food Service: Provision of meals for Nye County Sheriff’s Office employees upon request.
3. Commissary Services: Operation and management of commissary services distributed weekly to inmates.
4. Meal Delivery Procedures: Meals will be delivered in hot carts on insulated trays under supervision.
5. Compliance with Health Standards: All food service operations must adhere to health regulations and standards set by local, state, and federal laws.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon the Notice to Proceed date and will last for three years with an option to renew for three additional one-year terms.
