Background
The Nevada State Purchasing Division, part of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is seeking proposals for on-site food management services to support various health and behavioral health facilities across the state. The goal is to provide nutritionally adequate and appealing meals tailored to the needs of individuals in residence at these facilities, ensuring maximum nutritional support and compliance with dietary standards.

Work Details
The awarded vendor will be responsible for providing approximately 160,000 prepared meals annually, including three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) at multiple service locations. Specific tasks include:
- Menu planning and preparation of meals that accommodate various dietary needs (e.g., therapeutic diets for psychiatric disorders).
- Purchasing raw food supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring quality control.
- Meal distribution to designated facilities while adhering to safety and sanitation regulations.
- Staff training on food safety, preparation methods, and compliance with health standards.
- Maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities used for food preparation.
- Reporting on meal counts, costs, and compliance with dietary guidelines.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on March 1, 2026, and will run for four years until February 28, 2030.

Place of Performance
Food management services will be provided at various locations throughout Nevada including:
- Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services Kitchen in Las Vegas
- Rawson Neal Psychiatric Hospital in Las Vegas
- Desert Regional Center in Las Vegas
- Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services Kitchen in Sparks
- Other specified facilities as listed in the solicitation.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered at nevadaepro.com to respond to this solicitation. They must comply with mandatory minimum requirements including holding a valid Nevada business license and active registration in sam.gov. Vendors are also required to maintain specific insurance coverages as outlined in the solicitation. Additionally, vendors must not engage in any boycott of Israel during the contract term.
