UNMH Sandia Vista Primary Care Clinic Construction Project

Background
The University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) is soliciting proposals from experienced general contractors for the construction of the Sandia Vista Primary Care Clinic. UNMH's mission is to provide accessible, high-quality, safety-focused care for all residents of Bernalillo County and specialized services across New Mexico.

The goal of this contract is to construct a new primary care facility that aligns with UNMH's commitment to improving health outcomes through innovative patient care and education.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the construction of a 16,735 square foot primary care clinic featuring:
- 22 exam rooms
- A retail pharmacy
- A blood-draw area with a small laboratory processing room
- A general radiology suite
- A rehabilitation services room
- A conference/community room.

Additional facilities include a retinal scanner room and necessary patient and staff support services as required by applicable codes. The project site spans 6.9 acres and will include separate parking areas for patients and staff, emergency responder access, an ambulance loading zone, an entry plaza, and regional landscaping. The building will be equipped with an on-site generator with docking station to support critical facility equipment and life safety components.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award and continue until the completion of the construction project as outlined in the proposal.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at 9600 Gibson Blvd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with UNMH’s conditions including adherence to local vendor utilization practices. They are required to submit various forms including a Conflict of Interest Form, Campaign Contribution Disclosure Form, Bid Bond, and acceptance of COVID-19 Health and Safety Procedures. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate past performance in similar projects.
