Towing Services

Background
The City of Albuquerque is seeking bids for Towing Services to establish a Price Agreement/Service Agreement for emergency wrecker and towing services for City-owned vehicles. The services are required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, throughout the year, at the request of various City departments. The City reserves the right to award multiple agreements if deemed beneficial.

Work Details
The awarded contractor will provide emergency wrecker and towing services for City-owned vehicles, ensuring response within 60 minutes of notification. Services include:

- Maintaining all towing vehicles and equipment in compliance with Federal DOT and New Mexico PRC regulations.
- Providing all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, and materials.
- Maintaining a written log of dispatch calls.
- Adhering to safety regulations.
- Providing lockout and jump start services.
- Changing damaged tires.
- Responding to mutual aid requests from the Fire Department in surrounding counties.

The contractor must also maintain comprehensive knowledge of Albuquerque's geography and ensure all vehicles are properly registered and insured.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is four (4) years from the date of award, with options for two (2) one-year extensions, totaling a maximum contract duration of six (6) years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the City of Albuquerque and may extend to surrounding counties including Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance, Socorro, Santa Fe, and Valencia as needed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a New Mexico Car Towing License and provide proof of insurance coverage with limits not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence. Bidders must also submit a Pay Equity Reporting Form as part of their bid. Bids that include cost-plus provisions will be deemed nonresponsive.
