Description

SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR 6- 2000 TON TRANE ELECTRIC CHILLERS, 1-TRANE 1350 TON ABSORPTION CHILLER AND 1- 700 TON TRANE ABSORPTION CHILLER. INCLUDES A SCHEDULED QUARTERLY MAINTENANCE FOR EACH OF 8 CHILLERS, RUN CHILLER TO IDENTIFY ALL APPROACH TEMPS AND PRESS
Background
The University of New Mexico (UNM) is seeking to enter into a service agreement for the maintenance of its chiller equipment, which is critical for providing cooling to buildings within the university community. The mission of the Utility Services Department is to ensure that all chiller equipment operates efficiently and safely, meeting the demands of the campus community. This contract aims to maintain operational efficiency and minimize service interruptions.

Work Details
The contract includes a service agreement for the following chillers:
- 6 units of 2000-ton Trane electric chillers
- 1 unit of 1350-ton Trane absorption chiller
- 1 unit of 700-ton Trane absorption chiller.

The services provided under this agreement will include:
- Scheduled quarterly maintenance for each of the 8 chillers.
- Running each chiller to identify all approach temperatures and pressures for comparison to design specifications.
- Changing oil filters.
- Taking oil samples for quarterly analysis.
- Taking annual concentration samples for both absorption units to determine high and medium concentration values in solution.
- Performing leak checks for any refrigerant.
- Checking and repairing vacuum pumps and purge units.

The breakdown of costs over the three-year service agreement is as follows:
- Year 1 - $26,345.86
- Year 2 - $27,662.10
- Year 3 - $29,045.21.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this service agreement is three years.

The services will be performed at the University of New Mexico campus located in Albuquerque, NM.
