Background
Espanola Public Schools is seeking technical assistance and professional learning to design and implement Opportunity Culture® roles and school models in the district. Public Impact®, a research and consulting firm, is the only organization nationally qualified to provide this technical assistance, having originated the concept and devoted ten years to its development. Their mission is to dramatically improve learning outcomes for all children in the U.S. through improvements in education quality and related policy support.
Work Details
Public Impact® will provide comprehensive technical assistance for the design and implementation of Opportunity Culture® roles, which extend the reach of excellent teachers to more students for more pay within existing budgets. This includes:
- Development of staffing models that allow excellent teachers to lead teams and reach more students directly.
- Creation of publications, models, tools, and training to help districts rethink their use of current dollars and staffing structures.
- Preparation of districts with new hiring techniques to identify individuals suited for demanding roles.
- Design of daily schedules that allow multi-classroom leaders and their teams time for planning and collaboration.
- Delivery of role-specific training before and during implementation to ensure success in new roles. Public Impact® also offers a subscription-based online portal with on-demand professional learning resources.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed during the 2024-25 school year, with ongoing support as needed.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed within Espanola Public Schools, New Mexico.
